Brooke Atkinson
Midwife
My most important role is mother to my five children, four of whom were born at home. I began my career in birth work in October 2006 after giving birth to my first child. It profoundly altered me in the best and most beautiful way. It made me want to support others in their own journey. After a long career as a labor doula, birth assistant, and childbirth educator, I obtained my CPM in 2020. I have been blessed and honored to have some of the best mentors, both locally and internationally, throughout my years in birth work. I have a special love for attending breech and twin births at home. I am passionate about giving families information and choices to make independent decisions for themselves and their babies. You will often find me taking classes on all things related to birth or running a midwifery practice. Over the years, I have served on the Board of Directors for North Carolina Friends of Midwives, NC Herb Association, and Carolina Birth Junkies.
